Vetrepreneur is actively hiring a Franchise Coach to support and educate veterans and military spouses through a 10-week, 10-step process to become franchise owners. This is an extremely rewarding job that permits for high earning potential, a high level of support and a personally rewarding experience of enabling members of the military community to find a path to owning and operating their own businesses through franchising.
Coaches start with a Discovery Call to assess the Client’s reasons for wanting to get into franchising, skills & interests, lifestyle desires, geographical preferences and financial qualifications in order to come up with a list of franchises well suited to their preferences. From there, the Coach provides introductions to franchisors, financiers and accountants, constantly providing guidance and perspective. Coach will meet via phone or video about once per 1-2 weeks during a 10-week process until the candidate is awarded a franchise and via email and text on a frequent basis.
The Coach’s job is to act as a fiduciary to the Client, acting as an advisor and a mentor and offering perspective along the way to allow Clients to make the most informed decisions about selecting the right business for them to own and operate. It’s important to establish a high level of trust and to always act in the best interest of the Client.
Company will provide the vast majority of leads to the Coach. Leads are set up as pre-vetted video call meetings that have already been calendared and ready for the Coach to show up initially during a Discovery Call. Coach is also given significant levels of administrative, marketing automation and technical support. Coaches are also supported through the Vetrepreneur Franchise Coaching System and Portal which mirrors the in-person coaching experience. Coaches are expected to spend the vast majority of their time on the lead conversion aspect of the franchise brokerage role.
Coach will be expected to augment leads with referrals from existing clients and by developing some leads on their own as well.
This position is based in Pittsburgh but we will consider candidates outside of Pittsburgh. Coaches will be expected to be in our Moon Township office full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at their option on other days.
Generally, the Coach should be available when clients are available. Coach should plan to work normal working hours of Monday through Friday 8a - 5p, but should also plan to work a periodic evening and available periodically on weekends on an as-needed basis or during surges of leads. Coaches should expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week but flexible to be responsive to client and franchisor needs in a timely fashion outside of normal working hours. Typically, working longer hours will result in more income through an ability to handle more Clients. But the goal should be on taking care of every client and maximizing the conversion rates. This is an exempt position. We will also consider hiring a part time Coach.

Requirements:
- Coach must be highly organized and able to manage a CRM and multiple moving parts to the process at various stages.
- Coach must be comfortable using digital technology and a CRM.
- Coach must be personable and able to quickly develop trust with candidates.
- Coach must be confident, high energy and upbeat.
- Coach must be a good storyteller and able to draw on life experience and examples to analogize and relate to the Client.
- Coach must be familiar with or able to quickly learn about the basic elements of over 100 franchises and up to 600. Training is provided but Coach must commit to spending time learning the franchise options.
- Coach must have a good knowledge of and passionate about business.
- Coach must be able to empathize with and relate to Clients from all walks of life and in a variety of different life stages.
- Experience in franchising or owning a small business is preferred.
- Current or former military experience as a service member or military spouse is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
- Prefer candidate to be based in Pittsburgh area but not required.
- This position is a hybrid position if located in Pittsburgh; remote if not. Travel is rare except for non-Pittsburgh based Coaches to periodically travel to Pittsburgh.
