This position focuses on preparing, serving, and maintaining high-quality meals in an immaculate and secure dining environment. You support daily food service operations by following established procedures and meeting nutritional needs. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Meal Preparation: Prepare foods by grilling, toasting, plating, and portioning items according to guidelines
- Meal Service: Serve hot and cold foods and pour beverages to meet nutritional requirements
- Dishwashing Tasks: Operate dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning, scraping, and storing utensils and dishes
- Sanitation Duties: Clean counters, equipment, tables, floors, and other areas using approved procedures
- Supplement Preparation: Provide snacks, juices, and nourishment items to meet consumer needs
- Safety Practices: Follow safety rules and report information clearly to maintain quality and prevent waste

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with two paid 15-minute breaks. Your work schedule will include working Monday - Friday, every other weekend, and assigned holidays.

- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,411.00 (before taxes).
