Position Title: Supervisor of Construction Loan Servicing
Business Unit: Mortgage Administration
Reports to: Manager of Construction Loan Servicing
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for back end review of closed construction loans in order to support and improve the process flow between the customer, builder partner, Mortgage Banking Consultant/Mortgage Banking Specialist, management and internal business partners. The incumbent will serve as the system administrator and subject matter expert in the Built Platform. Primary performance objectives are supporting team members, monitoring performance, customer satisfaction results and key process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures team adherence to policies and procedures. Assists in pipeline management and escalations. Manages construction platform vendor. Actively participates in system enhancement and upgrade releases and ensures a seamless implementation process through calls/training/key stakeholder engagement meetings. Analyzes business reports for trends, opportunities and risk levels.
Actively participates in the construction loan process from builder disposition to loan conversion, ensuring timely inspections and draw tasks and required customer and builder communication procedures. Conducts monthly audits of team tasks, monitors aged loans and progress on salable loans, communicating changes in risk to senior leaders.
Responsible for ensuring regular policy and procedure reviews and performs all edits, training and document versioning. Has an active role in all internal/external audits. Manages year end tax processing (1099) processes. Balances and reconciles team owned general ledger (GL) and direct deposit accounts (DDA).
Provides periodic reports to the Manager and other groups as required. Collaborates regularly with Mortgage Sales Managers, Mortgage Operations and Secondary Marketing leaders to ensure open communication relative to challenges, changes and strategic priorities.
Assists with documenting and maintaining a construction to permanent lending administrative process including review of site inspection reports and draw administration. Identifies and provides feedback regarding methods of improving functional and departmental efficiencies that reduces risks, improves quality of service and/or accommodates additional growth.
Assists department manager in training, support and ongoing development of the construction team. Conducts interviews; onboarding and continued training and coaching. Responsible for all other human resource functions to include annual performance and merit reviews.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
