As an Executive Secretary for the Lackawanna County Housing Authority, you will step into a role that keeps the organization moving forward. This position supports the Executive Director by managing communication, records, scheduling, and office coordination. The role may supervise a small clerical staff, providing valuable supervisory and management experience while ensuring that daily operations are handled with accuracy and confidentiality. As an Executive Secretary, you will perform the following duties:
- Administrative Support: Provide executive-level administrative assistance to the Executive Director
- Scheduling Duties: Manage calendars, arrange meetings, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel
- Document Preparation: Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting materials
- Record Management: Maintain confidential records, filing systems, and executive office documentation
- Information Organization: Compile and organize information for meetings, presentations, and special projects
- Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director, staff, residents, public officials, and community organizations
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in secretarial work. Appropriate formal post high school secretarial training may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to four years; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
