The Pittsburgh office of GRB Law is seeking an Associate Attorney who seeks in-court experience, has an ability to independently manage cases, has a strong desire to practice Family Law and who would like to be a part of our strong team of family law attorneys.
Responsibilities include:
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including cases that involve divorce, child custody, spousal support, dependency, adoption, domestic violence, and property division claims; represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations; prepare and draft legal documents such as agreements, motions, briefs and other pleadings; review and analyze discovery and conduct depositions; conduct legal research and analysis to assist in case preparation and strategy development; develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school;
Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Pennsylvania bar;
Experience in family law is preferred but not necessary;
Candidates should have either an in-depth knowledge of family law and court procedures or a willingness to learn the same;
Litigation experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on the candidate’s ability to represent clients during hearings and trials;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues;
Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is essential; and
Exceptional negotiation and writing skills while upholding the highest standards of legal ethics.
