This role provides semi-skilled support across construction, maintenance, mechanical repair, and general upkeep within the County Maintenance Office. The work ensures that facilities, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and well cared for. As a Tradesman Helper, you will perform the following duties:
- Mechanical Support: Assist mechanics with light repairs such as oil changes, tire mounting, and basic component work
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain outdoor areas by cutting grass, removing snow, and keeping the yard clean and organized
- Janitorial Tasks: Perform cleaning duties to support building upkeep
- Supply Handling: Load and unload supplies and inspect received items for accuracy
- Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift for various tasks and transport equipment parts as needed
- Tool Care: Clean, maintain, and store tools to keep them in proper working condition

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime, travel and dual shifts required for emergencies, training, and specialized maintenance operations
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
