This position focuses on clerical tasks that support scanning operations, mail distribution, and organized record management within the Operations Support Unit. The role ensures that key documents are prepared, imaged, filed, and handled in an accurate and timely manner. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
Document Preparation: Prepare invoices and documents for scanning by removing staples, identifying duplex pages, and arranging header sheets
Scanner Operation: Operate high speed scanners, adjust software settings, and respond to error messages appropriately
Image Verification: Review scanned images to confirm proper indexing and legible quality using imaging software
Mail Processing: Collect and distribute office mail and prepare paperwork for UPS deliveries
Record Filing: File hard copy invoices by date and manage retention and purge schedules
General Support: Perform other related clerical duties as assigned
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Previous experience working with a scanner.
- Previous experience working with Microsoft office products.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
