This role centers on providing clerical support that keeps garage operations efficient and well coordinated. The position helps maintain records, support communication, and track tools and equipment. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • File Management: Maintain all garage files and organize important records
  • Phone Support: Answer incoming calls and assist staff and customers with needed information
  • Payroll Entry: Enter payrolls for garage employees and ensure accurate documentation
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain equipment and tool inventory and prepare usage reports for planning meetings
  • System Processing: Use SRM roles to receive and requisition materials and process monthly fuel system forms
  • Environmental Compliance: Support SEMP objectives and attend required environmental training

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Summer hours 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
