Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (3 days on-site/hybrid)

Duration: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities | CloudOps & DevOps

Manage and support cloud-hosted applications running in AWS environments.
Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated application deployments.
Monitor system health, availability, performance, and cloud resource utilization using CloudWatch and other observability tools.
Support production environments, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.
Manage containerized workloads using Docker and support container orchestration platforms when applicable.
Optimize AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, operational readiness, and platform stability.
Implement cloud security best practices and assist with compliance initiatives.
Develop automation solutions that reduce manual operational effort and improve system reliability.
Participate in on-call support and production issue resolution as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Strong hands-on AWS experience, including:

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
Experience monitoring and supporting production environments.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, and operational best practices.
Experience troubleshooting complex application, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
Experience working with source control systems and DevOps workflows.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
AWS Certified Developer Associate
Professional experience with C#, .Net Framework and REST API s is highly desired.
Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, or other container orchestration solutions.
Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Experience implementing cloud security best practices and governance controls.
Experience automating operational processes through scripting or software development.
Experience optimizing cloud spend and resource utilization.
Experience supporting highly available, scalable cloud-native architectures.
