Butler Technologies, Inc. (BTI) is a family-owned advanced manufacturing company located in Butler, PA. For nearly 35 years, we have designed and produced innovative printed electronics and user interface solutions used in healthcare, automotive, fitness, and industrial applications.
As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting business operations while working alongside experienced finance professionals. You will apply what you have learned in the classroom, build practical accounting skills, and gain exposure to the financial side of a manufacturing organization.

What You’ll Do
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and research discrepancies
- Analyze spending and financial data to identify variances
- Maintain and review ERP system records
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Assist with process improvement projects and documentation
- Learn how accounting supports manufacturing, inventory management, purchasing, and business operations
Schedule & Compensation
- Paid internship
- Part-time schedule during the Fall 2026 semester
- Flexible hours designed to accommodate class schedules
- Primarily on-site in Butler, PA to maximize learning and collaboration

What We’re Looking For
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Self-motivated learner who enjoys problem-solving and working with data
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Eligibility to work in a position subject to ITAR requirements
