This role supports the Admissions Coordinator by completing clerical tasks that ensure accurate records, well-organized processes, and smooth communication within the Admissions Department. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Form Processing: Perform data entry to complete admissions forms and distribute information to required parties
  • Record Management: Copy, file, scan, and upload documents to maintain accurate and organized applicant and resident records
  • Resident Support: Assist prospective residents and families with admissions paperwork in alignment with DMVA policies
  • Information Coordination: Verify insurance eligibility and obtain medical and financial records for admissions
  • Department Assistance: Prepare documents, respond to inquiries, manage communications, and support tours and marketing events
  • Administrative Tasks: Order supplies, type correspondence, maintain logs, and complete office duties that support daily operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:  You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
