Purpose:
Under the general direction of management and senior team members, the Associate Systems Analyst provides technical and analytical support for organizational applications and systems. This role assists with gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting the implementation and maintenance of applications, troubleshooting system issues, and participating in testing and system enhancement activities. The Associate Systems Analyst collaborates with end users, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet business and operational needs while developing expertise in systems analysis, application support, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
· Supporting and troubleshooting Epic Radiant issues.
· Assisting with system build, testing, and maintenance.
· Analyzing and improving radiology workflows.
· Collaborating with end users and operational leaders.
· Maintaining documentation and supporting knowledge management.
· Second and Third Level Support (Including Maintenance Activities): Ability to triage support issues and escalate accordingly. Partner with team members to trouble shoot support issues.
· Project Management: Contribute to project tasks and milestones typically under the direction of project manager/more experienced team members. Update all project management and time tracking tools accordingly.
· SDLC (System Development Life Cycle): Have a fundamental knowledge of the system/application development life cycle.
· Data Confidentiality/Security: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
· Data Quality: Maintain data quality at all times.
· Process Improvement: Review and validate existing processes.
Qualifications:
· Familiarity with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.
· Highly driven and self-motivated to meet expectations.
· Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
· Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC) of one of the information technology professional disciplines and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a UPMC department or function.
· Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
· Additionally, this position may be required to maintain a standby status as part of a rotation within the team.
· Experience in healthcare, radiology, imaging services, or healthcare IT. (preferred)
· Exposure to Epic applications or electronic medical record systems. (preferred)
· Knowledge of clinical, scheduling, or radiology workflows. (preferred)
· Epic certification or willingness to obtain Epic certification as required. (preferred)
· This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the standby period. The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
· Current or past UPMC employee or contractor. (preferred)
