Position Overview
Seeking a Python Automation Test Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing solutions for UI, API, integration, and backend applications. The role combines Python development, test automation, and manual QA testing within an Agile team working in two-week sprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based test automation solutions.
- Automate UI, REST API, integration, and system testing.
- Create and execute manual test cases for UI and backend applications.
- Develop scalable Python applications, utilities, and automation frameworks.
- Prepare technical documentation, test results, and test summary reports.
- Review automation code, test cases, and supporting documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex testing and application issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Track testing activities and defects using Jira.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and two-week development sprints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree.
- 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong understanding of Python OOP concepts and modular design.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with Python package management and dependency handling.
- Experience developing scalable applications and utilities.
- Hands-on experience with at least one Python automation framework:
- PyTest
- unittest
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright
- Experience automating web-based UI applications.
- Experience automating REST API testing.
- Experience with integration and system testing.
- Understanding of BDD and TDD concepts.
- Experience with test data management, assertions, and validations.
- Experience creating and executing manual test cases for UI and backend applications.
- Experience using Jira and generating test summary reports.
