This is a great chance to work independently and become a dependable part of our community. As a Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Provide Transportation: Operate county vehicle an average of 150 miles each day
- Assist Door-to-Door: Willingly and patiently assist consumers, including senior adults and wheelchair-dependent consumers along rough payment or unpaved paths, from the door of their home, on and off the vehicle, and to the door of their drop-off location
- Participate in Teamwork: Communicate effectively both person to person and via two-way radio, follow directions listed on a mobile tablet, and easily adjust in daily schedule to meet consumer needs
- Support Social Contact: Be a people-person as you will be providing important assistance and socialization throughout the day, while following a schedule
- Help Ensure Safety: Contact a dispatcher to help correct any scheduling conflicts; complete the daily pre-trip checklist and report any issues or changes; participate in agency training
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week.
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Condition of Employment:
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
