Wayman, Irvin & McAuley, LLC, a well-established Wexford civil litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 5–10 years of civil litigation experience to join our practice.
Job Description
The successful candidate will manage a diverse civil litigation caseload and work closely with clients, insurance representatives, and experienced trial attorneys. Responsibilities include:
- Managing cases from inception through resolution.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conducting legal research and preparing written analyses.
- Taking and defending depositions.
- Preparing and responding to written discovery.
- Attending court hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
- Communicating effectively with clients, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Five to ten years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively in a collegial team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania
