This position supports residents by providing daily care and helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The work focuses on observing resident needs, assisting with daily tasks, and supporting overall care plans. As a Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties:

  • Resident Observation: Observe resident conditions and report any changes to nursing staff
  • Daily Care Records: Record daily care and ensure all documentation meets required standards
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Support: Assist residents with bathing, grooming, toileting, and other daily living tasks
  • Mobility Assistance: Help residents walk, exercise, and move safely in and out of bed
  • Safety Practices: Maintain a safe environment by removing hazards and applying approved safety devices
  • Restorative Care: Provide restorative care and support established care plans each day

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Part-time employment (40 hours biweekly)
  • Work hours are 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3rd shift), with a 30-minute lunch. Working every other weekend is required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Additional Requirement:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
