Job Title: Heavy Highway Construction Chief Engineer
Location: New Kensington, PA (On-site)
Salary: $160,000–$190,000/year
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead engineering activities for heavy highway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing temporary works design, providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance with PennDOT and OSHA standards, and eventually signing and sealing engineering documents.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 10+ years of heavy highway, bridge, or transportation construction engineering experience
- Strong expertise in temporary works (cofferdams, shoring, falsework, formwork)
- Leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Proficiency with STAAD, AutoCAD, MathCAD, or similar software
- U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship)
Preferred:
- PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike project experience
- Experience with estimating, bid support, and signing/sealing engineering documents
