It helps ensure smooth workflows for the Vital Events Registry and supports public health reporting. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Data Entry Work: Enter demographic and medical details from paper reported vital events into electronic systems
- Document Imaging: Scan, modify, and organize documents for digital storage and workflow support
- Mail Handling: Sort mail, make copies, scan materials, and update SharePoint entries for registry tasks
- Correspondence Processing: Print and mail registration, amendment, and other vital event documents
- Record Management: File and retrieve paper records to support staff requests
- Software Use: Apply tools like VRMS, Word, Excel, and Teams to complete clerical and communication tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Limited term, full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Duration of employment is approximately six months with possible extension for an additional 6 months.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
