As a Stock Clerk 3 with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), you will help ensure that Troop D, Butler has the supplies and equipment required to stay prepared and productive. This role gives you the chance to maintain inventory, support purchasing needs, and work closely with Troop personnel. Your efforts will help keep operations efficient and well-coordinated. This position focuses on managing Troop inventory, processing supply requests, and maintaining accurate records for equipment and materials. As a Stock Clerk 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels, review requests, and distribute clothing, equipment, and office items
  • Vendor Coordination: Secure bidders, inspect received goods, and make authorized purchases
  • Purchase Tracking: Monitor purchase orders, maintain purchasing card records, and communicate with vendors
  • Equipment Records: Maintain accurate files for uniforms, firearms, badges, and other issued items
  • Property Inspection: Conduct inventory inspections, update tracking reports, and dispose of unserviceable items
  • Supply Transport: Load, unload, and deliver supplies to Troop and Department Headquarter locations as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in stores control work, including one year of experience with responsibility for the operation of a small storeroom; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a high school or vocational school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement:

  • You must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
