This position focuses on keeping the Governor Residence clean, organized, and ready to welcome the First Family and guests. You will handle a variety of daily and periodic housekeeping tasks that support the comfort and presentation of the residence. As a Housekeeper, you will perform the following duties:
- Daily Cleaning: Maintain rooms by dusting, polishing furniture, removing waste, and cleaning floors
- Laundry Care: Sort, wash, dry, iron, and store clothing and linens while handling delicate items properly
- Bathroom Upkeep: Clean and sanitize fixtures, walls, and floors while restocking supplies
- Supplies And Equipment: Track cleaning materials and report needed replenishment to supervisors
- Clothing Maintenance: Complete minor repairs such as button replacement to keep garments in good condition
- Event Support: Assist in public and private events by serving guests, maintaining confidentiality, and helping with operational tasks
This position is considered essential. You will be required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Schedule varies based on operational needs. Overtime is to be expected.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in general housekeeping work and cooking on a family or residence basis; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess and maintain a valid non-commercial Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience with professional laundering and basic sewing/repairs
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
