This position focuses on performing skilled trades work to support construction, maintenance, and repair projects across a wide range of structures and facilities. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Construction Planning: Plan materials, tools, and steps for a variety of building and repair projects
  • Carpentry and Concrete: Measure, cut, place, and finish materials for framing, carpentry, and concrete tasks
  • Facility Repairs: Repair or replace lights, plumbing parts, doors, valves, switches, and similar items
  • Grounds Maintenance: Cut grass, remove snow, and wash trucks during winter activities
  • Equipment Care: Clean and store plows, spreaders, and tools used for seasonal operations
  • Team Leadership: Guide helpers by assigning basic duties and monitoring their work

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
