In this role, the Talent Acquisition Assistant is responsible for administering a variety of operational, recruitment and employment related tasks in support of the UPMC Physician Services Talent Acquisition team. Daily job duties may include reviewing applications, conducting phone screens, outreaching to passive candidates, and preparing for recruitment events.  Additionally, the position will provide administrative support for candidate tracking, recruitment projects, and pre-employment activities. This role interacts with a wide range of internal customers at all levels as well as external candidates seeking employment opportunities.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist recruitment team with parts of the recruitment process including but not limited to sourcing candidates, running reports, auditing positions, and social media advertising.
  • Serve as point of contact for general candidate, employee, and customer inquiries.
  • Responsible for building a culture rooted in Dignity and Respect and for holding team members accountable to the same.
  • Assist in the execution and prepartion of Talent Acquisition events.
  • Ensure process compliance in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with one year of progressively responsible administrative experience required (preferably in a human resources environment).
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required 
    • OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associate Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.
  • Human resources education and/or work experience is preferred.
