This position provides clerical support for the Education and Incentives Team by assisting with documents, records, communication, and basic office tasks. The work ensures that education programs for service members, dependents, and veterans are organized and properly documented. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Inbox Management: Monitor and route emails and materials to the correct staff
  • Record Tracking: Log incoming information and maintain basic intake records according to procedures
  • Document Preparation: Organize and prepare MFEP and EAP packets for staff review
  • File Maintenance: Create folders, scan documents, upload files, and complete routine file checks
  • Report Review: Run standard reports and check them for accuracy before referring issues to staff
  • Clerical Support: Answer phones, sort mail, prepare correspondence, and complete scanning, copying, and data entry

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Temporary, full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • No benefits with this position.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:15 pm, Monday-Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework:  You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.83 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
