Carnegie Mellon University’s Dietrich College is searching for a Program Coordinator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing administration and daily operations of the program office. This is a part-time, fixed-term position anticipated to work 10 hours/week.
Core responsibilities include:
Program Administration: Assist the Program Director with phone calls, scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day administrative operations. Coordinate logistics for faculty, students, and program mentors. In the Director's absence, serve as the primary point of contact for the program.
Program Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, external inquiries, internship hosts, mentors, and other program partners. Maintain clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders to support program operations.
Student Services: Serve as the first point of contact for students, providing support with orientation and transition needs, including housing, cultural adjustment, transportation, banking, healthcare, and other student-related concerns.
Financial Administration: Manage the program's financial administrative processes, including processing invoices, coordinating rent payments, managing vendor transactions, monitoring expenditures, and tracking budgets.
Event & Logistics Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute program events, guest lectures, travel arrangements, meetings, and other activities by managing schedules, reservations, and logistical details.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associate’s degree required
1-3 years of administrative experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
This is a part-time (10 hours/week), non-exempt position based in Los Angeles, CA
In accordance with the pay transparency legislation set forth by CA the corresponding salary range for this position, if placed in CA starts at $30/hour
