Performs chairside dental assisting and radiography. Guides patients through visits and treatments, ensures charts are complete and necessary information is collected, and coordinates patient flow. Ensures infection control in operatories and with instruments. Maintains supplies.
The position will perform the following dental assistant functions: chairside assistance to faculty providers; maintain an aseptic environment; follow OSHA, HIPAA and infection control guidelines; maintain and dispense inventory and instrument cassettes; maintain patient records; assist with scheduling follow-up visits; ordering supplies and
miscellaneous clerical duties.
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
