The Director of Finance for the PA State Lottery plays a key role in shaping the future of this important agency. This position oversees the Finance Division in the Bureau of the PA State Lottery and ensures that financial operations run smoothly. As a Director of Finance, you will perform the following duties:
- Financial Leadership: Guide finance operations across budgeting, accounting, reporting, purchasing, and annuity functions
- Process Improvement: Review procedures and recommend changes to support efficient and cost effective operations
- Policy Expertise: Develop policy, draft regulations, and prepare legislation as a subject matter expert
- Audit Oversight: Manage audit findings, IRS levy letters, and manual payment processing for retailers
- Budget Management: Oversee preparation of the Lottery budget and re budget requests with agency leadership
- System Support: Assist in updates, enhancements, and modifications to Lottery systems

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Middletown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess an active CPA license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Criteria (not required):
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with Excel

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
