Responsibilities
• Provide operational support for enterprise VMware Aria and VCF Foundation platforms.
• Support and administer large-scale VMware Aria Operations environments, including active-warm clusters in multiple datacenters.
• Manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Foundations components, including lifecycle management and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot vCenter Server, ESXi, clusters, resource pools, and distributed networking issues.
• Support VMware Aria Operations, Aria Suite Lifecycle, and related products.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible and other scripting tools.
• Maintain Linux systems (RHEL preferred) including troubleshooting, log analysis, and scripting.
• Perform platform upgrades, capacity planning, health assessments, and performance tuning.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and engineering teams on platform initiatives.
• Support environments with strict security and compliance requirements.
• Participate in capacity planning, health assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Execute platform patching and lifecycle management.
• Support enterprise ITSM environments using ServiceNow (SNOW) and Agile tools like Jira.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical enterprise environments.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for outages and performance issues.
Requirements
• 5+ years of VMware Aria Operations administration in large-scale, multi-datacenter environments.
• 3+ years of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience.
• Strong expertise with vCenter, ESXi, clusters, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Aria Suite products and automation tools.
• Proven proficiency with Ansible automation.
• Linux (RHEL preferred) administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of VCF SDDC Manager, NSX, and vSAN (nice-to-have).
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl) and REST APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High School Degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications such as VCP, VCF certification, VCAP, RHCSA, or Ansible Automation (nice-to-have).
