The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology (ADRC) is seeking a qualified Neuropsychology Technician. This position will provide clinical research support to the NIA supported Alzheimer Disease Research Center, clinical trials and other federal/foundation grants. Administer and score neuropsychological test batteries, participate in inter-rater reliability studies; conduct research related assessments for clinical trials/programs being conducted in the ADRC; screen participant charts for trials and other studies; monitor quality assurance of data; assist faculty and staff with paperwork for ADRC registry; assist with diagnostic consensus conference;, and work with other ADRC staff in providing educational ADRC programs.
Conducts laboratory experiments, intermediate-level tests, and a variety of scientific tasks. Performs data and specimen collection and processing as well as equipment maintenance and set up. Ensures adherence to all established protocols and regulatory practices.
Ability to communicate well and interact with older adults. Functions will include making calls, walking, talking, computer usage.
Mostly sedentary position. Some walking to various University campus sites. Lifting light objects including study binders and supplies
