This position supports event operations by assisting with setup, maintenance, and cleanup throughout the Farm Show Complex. Your responsibilities will focus on helping to keep buildings, grounds, and event spaces clean, safe, and ready for visitors. As an Event Services Operations Staff, you will perform the following duties:
- Event Setup: Organize and arrange tables, chairs, stages, gates, and other equipment for a variety of events
- Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove trash and debris from indoor and outdoor areas
- Livestock Support: Assemble, clean, and disassemble livestock pens and remove manure during shows
- Grounds Work: Clear debris, remove snow, maintain walkways, and keep grounds presentable
- Equipment Handling: Use tools, power washers, and janitorial equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Facility Care: Perform light repairs, paint surfaces, wash windows, and maintain shared spaces

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience working around animals and livestock
- Experience working in large-scale public events
- Experience performing work while on ladders and/or hydraulic lifts
