This position supports the Director by helping manage projects, guide maintenance teams, and coordinate activities across the Energy Resource Management Office. The role ensures effective planning, communication, and oversight of work that keeps facilities operating safely. As an Assistant Director, you will perform the following duties:
- Team Management: Oversee maintenance and repair activities for the high voltage and plumbing teams
- Project Oversight: Manage projects of various sizes, review scope documents, and evaluate bid proposals
- Operational Guidance: Provide direction on building maintenance needs and clarify requests with staff and tenants
- Meeting Leadership: Chair meetings and present updates on projects, impacts, and concerns to leadership
- Performance Supervision: Handle personnel duties including training, scheduling, evaluations, and discipline
- Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance needs and prioritize work to resolve time sensitive issues

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, on-call 24 hours, 7 days per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
- You must possess a combination of 8 years of experience in plumbing and/or electrical work.
- You must possess management experience.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
