Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Variable start times between 6:00 AM and 10:30 AM
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Limited weekends and holiday coverage
- Dynamic, team-oriented work environment
What You'll Do
- Support daily Operating Room operations by facilitating efficient case flow and minimizing delays.
- Assist the surgical team in preparing operating rooms and specialty equipment for upcoming procedures.
- Help with room turnovers to ensure cases stay on schedule.
- Stock, organize, and replenish surgical supplies and specialty inventory.
- Assist with the care, cleaning, maintenance, and readiness of specialty equipment, including:
- Lasers
- Video towers
- Microscopes
- Positioning devices and supplies
- Coordinate equipment utilization based on surgical schedules and ensure resources are available in the appropriate operating rooms.
- Track and manage shared equipment between the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center, including cameras, telescopes, positioning equipment, and surgical instruments.
- Partner with Specialty Nurses to coordinate instrument tray setup and ordering.
- Collaborate with Sterile Processing (SPD) to address broken instruments and incomplete trays.
- Maintain special-order supplies and assist with orthopedic inventory management.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly to Maintenance or Biomedical Engineering for service and repair.
