This position provides skilled nursing care in a long term care setting, ensuring that residents receive safe and appropriate treatment. The role requires careful assessment, teamwork, and a commitment to high quality service. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Resident Assessment: Evaluate resident conditions and determine care needs based on ongoing observations
  • Care Coordination: Organize and guide nursing interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Medication Oversight: Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring resident responses
  • Staff Guidance: Support and direct non professional nursing staff through instruction and on the job training
  • Documentation Accuracy: Prepare clear written and oral reports to support communication and compliance
  • Safety Practices: Maintain a therapeutic environment by applying infection control and emergency response procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, 30-minute lunch) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, no lunch). 
    • Rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays. 
    • Rotation includes every other weekend off.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $93,888.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements: 
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:  
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.  At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: 
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test. 
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
