This position focuses on the reporting, analysis, and evaluation for workforce development programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements, alignment with Commonwealth strategy, and the effectiveness of Bureau of Workforce Development Administration policies and procedures. Your work will include research, planning, and coordination with partners to strengthen youth-related workforce programming and activities. As a Workforce Development Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties: 

  • Plan Workforce Programs: Plan, analyze, design, implement, and evaluate workforce programs in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Review Regulations: Track federal statutory and regulatory requirements, analyze their potential impact, and report your analysis and findings
  • Aid Policy Development: Recommend updates to policies and procedures; assist in developing guidance for guidelines for local workforce development boards
  • Provide Technical Assistance: Provide support and direction to local board staff and workforce partners on youth programming and activities
  • Ensure Effective Reporting: Prepare written analyses, summaries, reports, and responses about projects, processes, and outcomes for supervisors, boards, and external organizations 
  • Work Collaboratively: Coordinate with internal and external partners to evaluate and improve youth programming initiatives, activities, demonstrations, and related projects

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Workforce Development Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience in performing technical work in a workforce development program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must possess and maintain federally compliant identification such as a U.S. Passport, REAL ID, or Military ID. Proof of possession will be needed at the time of a conditional offer of employment.
