Job Title: Sr. Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Type: Contract To Hire
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java API services, including RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
- Work with front-end UI development using Angular, HTML, and CSS to create engaging, user-friendly interfaces.
- Implement and optimize API standards and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build large-scale features.
- Develop, test, and deploy backend components using Spring Boot, microservices, and containerization technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Integrate Java-based applications with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
- Utilize DevOps tools including Jenkins, uDeploy, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines to automate workflows and ensure continuous delivery.
- Review design documents, create technical systems designs, and translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including API developers, business analysts, and QA teams, within an Agile environment.
- Research and apply modern libraries and technologies to expedite development and improve application security.
Requirements:
- At least 6+ years of Java API development experience with REST API, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, Swagger.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services in production environments.
- 5+ years of front-end UI development experience using Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift, containerization, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- 3+ years working with GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with client-side technologies like Node JS and Angular 8+.
- Experience with Kafka, MongoDB, and integrating Java applications with Oracle/SQL Server databases.
- Strong understanding of security best practices to prevent vulnerabilities in coding.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills in an Agile team environment.
