UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a Casual Invasive Cardiac Tech to join our Heart Catheterization team! In this role, you’ll work varied daylight shifts with limited call responsibilities. What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and assist patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Operate imaging and monitoring equipment with precision and attention to radiation safety.
  • Administer contrast and support physicians during procedures.
  • Verify patient identity, review orders, and document all clinical data accurately.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and ensure adherence to procedural time-out standards.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to deliver efficient, compassionate care.

Invasive Cardiac Tech Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS).


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist or RCIS as a Cardiovascular Specialist is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • ACLS certification is desired upon hire.
    • Successful completion of ACLS certification required within orientation period.

  • ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Echocardiograph and Ultrasound
