Join the Pennsylvania Department of State as an Elections Analyst 2 and help strengthen the election process across the Commonwealth. This role offers the chance to support training efforts that guide both county staff and state personnel. This position is responsible for the preparation and ongoing development of program training and a variety of services to meet organizational, and development needs to County Election Directors on the proper administration and application of election-related policy and processes. Your work will support a trustworthy and well-organized election system.
This position supports the development and delivery of training that helps county election staff and Department of State personnel understand and apply election policies. It also contributes to improving election processes through research, evaluation, and collaboration. As an Elections Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Training Development: Create and improve training materials, presentations and tools for election administration
- Program Evaluation: Review and adjust training programs to meet changing needs and provide effective learning experiences
- Collaborative Work: Work with the Division of Election Security and Technology to build training related to election technology and procedures
- Information Gathering: Collect data, research information and recommend updates that support election training and operations
- Support Services: Respond to questions from county offices, voters and Department of State staff and direct issues as needed
- Documentation Assistance: Help create and maintain manuals, policies and instructional guides for election processes

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Elections Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of professional experience evaluating public programs or information technology systems, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, political science, or information technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have at least one year of teaching, adult education, or training experience.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
