As a Clerical Assistant 2 with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help keep office operations running smoothly while working with dedicated staff. This position plays an important role in supporting office operations, assisting staff, and helping the public. 

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Timekeeping Support: Review timesheets, calculate overtime, maintain work schedules, and enter time in SAP
  • Public Interaction: Assist callers, visitors, and email inquiries by providing information or directing them to the correct staff member
  • Record Management: Maintain files, Hazardous Substance database, automotive database, and conference room reservation system
  • Dispatch and Reporting: Assist with dispatcher duties, and record fire and weather information
  • Permit and Revenue Processing: Issue and enter camping permits, fuelwood permits, stone permits, and other sale items via Aspira system
  • Office Operations: Prepare mail, type correspondence, open IT tickets, and maintain office supplies and publications

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.  
  • Telework:  You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
