Join the Department of Transportation, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, as a Clerical Assistant 2 and support the important work that keeps commercial registration services running smoothly. This position supports the Commercial Registration Section by managing applications, handling customer calls, and assisting with mail and revenue tasks. It also helps maintain secure processes and smooth daily operations. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Processing: Open, sort, log, and batch incoming applications and invoices
- Customer Assistance: Answer telephone calls, respond to general questions, transfer calls, and take messages
- Mail and Delivery: Operate a pushcart to move mail and packages throughout the building and complete mail runs
- Data Entry: Use basic Microsoft software functions to enter, track, and review work
- Revenue Handling: Manage revenue collections, follow cash drawer policies, and process transactions with correct fee waiver documentation
- Security Compliance: Maintain security of registration products, applications, and confidential information

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,515 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
