Step into an exciting role as a Lottery Drawing Officer (Administrative Officer 1) with the Pennsylvania Lottery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to officiate at all official PA Lottery drawings in the capacity of On-camera Official, Coordinator, or Headquarters Official. This position places you at the heart of daily and televised lottery events across the state. Your work will help ensure that every drawing is fair, secure, and carried out with precision. This position supports the secure and accurate operation of official Pennsylvania Lottery drawings held throughout the year. The work ensures that all activities follow established procedures, uphold state regulations, and protect the integrity of each draw. As a Lottery Drawing Officer, you will perform the following duties:

  • Drawing Operations: Conduct official drawings for multiple games while following all required procedures and rules
  • Witness Coordination: Schedule, prepare, and support public witnesses for live evening drawings
  • Equipment Handling: Move, set up, and operate drawing machines and related equipment for Day and Evening drawings
  • Record Keeping: Document drawing activities, test results, and verify information with internal systems
  • Broadcast Support: Participate in live studio production tasks and follow visual and verbal cues during televised drawings
  • Problem Resolution: Work with CPAs and security staff to address parameter issues and ensure compliance with standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Temporary, Full-time employment
  • Work schedule hours and days are variable. Shift typically will run from 9:00pm to 12:30am. The selected candidate will be expected to report to work even in the event of road closures, inclement weather, or disasters. Position is assigned Essential Employee status.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • You must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
