OVERVIEW:

Role Responsibilities:

Fabric & Sourcing:

  • Attend seasonal hand off meeting. Work with Fabric Manager and Sourcing team to allocate

  • Support the raw material and sourcing initiatives to support IMU% goals, speed to market, CoP strategy and sustainability.

  • Ensure completed fabric development sheet is passed off to mill while maintaining calendar deadlines.  

  • Develop fabric & ensure all selected raw materials will be tested and approved in accordance with the FIS and quality manual. Leverage technical knowledge for in-depth problem solving relating to raw materials and garment testing.

  • Daily follow up with mills/vendors as needed on development progress.

  • Receives and vets all new fabric headers received from full package and nominated suppliers (cost, leadtime, testing requirements)

Develop strong working relationship with Design and Global Sourcing.

Work to understand and assure performance, quality, cost and lead times are maintained.

Partner with Fabric Manager and testing team to ensure fabrics adopted meet quality standards.

Manage the fabric library

Enter & maintain material data library in PLM. Ensures FIS submits are correct, enter, file and maintain FIS sheets.  Fabric charts and binders are filled out completely and accurately maintained on a timely basis. Issues and solutions are reviewed in cross-functional weekly meetings.

Ensure fabric calendar deadlines are met; provide timely updates on how development is progressing. Receive and send parcels as needed. Maintain reporting metrics on fabric development to ensure team is driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • College or university degree in textiles or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile manufacturing or development
