Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Wellness Pavilion and within the SHRS Office of Community Engagement and Global Health Initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administrative support for the office
  • Manage calendar, schedule meetings
  • Wellness Pavilion clinic appointment scheduling
  • Manage and organize patient records
  • Collaborative scheduling with Alma Illery or other service providers
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors at the Wellness Pavilion
  • Management of inventory
  • Event and program support
  • Serve as receptionist to include answering phone and manage visitors to the Wellness Pavilion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in community service engagement and/or higher education administration
  • Experience managing schedules
  • Experience coordinating events
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to varied audiences
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
