The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II in the Torres-Oviedo Lab.
Job duties include:
· Recruits and screens study participants and administers cognitive assessments.
· Communicates effectively with study participants and potential community recruits.
· Serves as the primary point of contact for external participant registries and community outreach partnerships.
· Coordinates participant testing across different labs.
· Partners with the PI to develop and prepare grant applications for new research initiatives.
· Maintains databases, including reviewing and correcting existing participant records.
· Manages lab supply inventory and places orders as needed.
· Communicates regularly with principal investigators and collaborators to monitor and report on overall study progress.
· Monitors study budgets and expenditures.
· Prepares and presents progress updates at meetings, tracking key milestones to ensure program goals and timelines are met.
· Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.
Ability to speak clearly for telephone contact, have manual dexterity to use equipment, and also ability to visit various locations throughout the campus.
Generally sedentary, however, this position may require incumbent to move within lab and occasionally visit industry or other locations throughout the campus. May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
