eNGINE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across on-premises data centers and cloud environments.
This role requires hands-on expertise in networking, systems administration, cloud platforms, and automation, along with a strong focus on reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and experience managing complex, multi-vendor environments.
Key Responsibilities
Data Center Operations
- Manage and maintain on-premises data centers and remote data closets, including cabling, power, cooling, and connectivity
- Oversee data center asset management and software/license lifecycle management
- Coordinate and manage relationships with carriers and vendors
- Implement and support infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
Networking
- Design, configure, and support enterprise networking environments across multi-vendor platforms
- Manage routing and switching infrastructure with a focus on performance and reliability
- Deploy and support SD-WAN solutions, including diverse circuit implementations
- Administer and support the Cisco Meraki suite
Voice & Collaboration
- Support and maintain Cisco Unified Communications platforms, including:
- Call Manager (CUCM)
- Contact center solutions
- Manage and troubleshoot SIP trunking environments
Cloud & Systems
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments, including resource deployment and ongoing management
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including identity and access control
- Support hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud environments
Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using:
- Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools such as:
- Ansible, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- Streamline repetitive operational tasks and improve deployment efficiency
Security
- Implement and support zero-trust security architecture
- Enforce identity-based security controls across systems and applications
- Design and maintain network segmentation strategies to protect critical infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Hands-on experience in network, server, and cloud administration and support
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology (or related field) and 8+ years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related field) with industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as:
- Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
- ITIL
- Or equivalent certifications
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Strong expertise in:
- Enterprise networking (routing, switching, SD-WAN)
- Cisco Meraki technologies
- Microsoft Azure and Active Directory
- Cisco Unified Communications and SIP technologies
- Experience working in multi-vendor and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with automation, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of modern security frameworks and best practices
