Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of large?scale electronic equipment and machinery used in vacuum systems . This role applies core electrical engineering principles to deliver safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs using computer?aided engineering tools and design software. This role demonstrates strong proficiency in electrical design concepts , practices, and procedures , and works to plan and execute project tasks within a low volume , high variability manufacturing environment.

- Reports To: Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and detail electrical components and systems for safe, reliable equipment operation
- Design electrical power distribution systems for vacuum and process equipment
- Design and document equipment control systems
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in the corporate ERP system
- Perform prototype assembly, wiring, testing, and validation of components and sub?modules
- Execute cost?effective engineering improvements to reduce the cost of existing components
- Support engineering projects to meet schedule, cost, quality, and performance targets
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Occasional domestic travel may be required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of electrical design experience
- Strong CAD experience (electrical drawings and schematics)
- Proficiency with industry compliance codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software
- Design experience supporting automated or industrial equipment
