Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
- Performs a variety of laboratory experiments such as histology, flow cytometry, functional studies, molecular techniques, gene sequencing, and related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis. Ensures conformity to specifications.
- Identifies and prepares specimens for cell separation and histology.
- Oversees supply management: ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items.
- Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions.
- Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books. Organizes, documents and analyze results.
- Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of laboratory equipment.
- Trains students and laboratory personnel.
The position is primarily sedentary, but may require walking to other collaboration sites.
