The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a Research Technician II in their 7 Tesla Bioengineering Research Program (7TBRP) and Radiofrequency Research Facility. The incumbent will have the responsibility of performing imaging research, including operation of the 7T Plus Human MRI scanner. Duties will also include screening and consenting research participants, assisting in the coordination of research projects, and supporting the daily program operations.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in STEM field.
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Ability to speak clearly for telephone contact, have manual dexterity to use equipment, and also ability to visit various locations throughout the campus.
Generally sedentary, however, this position does require incumbent to move within lab and occasionally visit industry or other locations throughout the campus. May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
