As a Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will play an important part in preserving the beauty and function of Bendigo State Park Complex. This position will allow you to work on a variety of tasks, from facility upkeep to ground maintenance. Your work will support positive experiences for all park visitors throughout the year. This position supports the upkeep of park buildings, grounds, and facilities through a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will help ensure that visitors enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained park environment. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Repairs: Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and building maintenance tasks
- Grounds Care: Mow grass, trim branches, remove debris, and maintain picnic and day-use areas
- Equipment Operation: Use tractors, mowers, chain saws, and other tools to support maintenance needs
- Cleaning Duties: Clean restrooms, pool areas, offices, and other park facilities
- Construction Support: Assist skilled trades staff with repairs, renovations, and project work
- Visitor Assistance: Provide helpful information and support to visitors in a friendly manner

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Work schedule will vary. Work will be scheduled 5 days/37.5 hours per week and will include a 30-minute lunch.
- Work may be scheduled on weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
