This role focuses on providing quality dental care to individuals at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Smithfield. You will support inmate health through consistent and compassionate clinical service. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:
- Patient Care: Provide routine dental exams and treatments for the inmate population
- Clinical Decision Making: Evaluate dental needs and determine appropriate care plans
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with auxiliary staff to ensure smooth clinical operations
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and timely dental records for each patient
- Preventive Guidance: Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care
- Treatment Planning: Outline and implement effective treatment strategies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, up to 30 hours per week
- The work schedule is to be determined. You will not be required to work weekends.

- Hourly rate: In some cases, the hourly rate may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $83.27 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
