This role focuses on completing freight transportation tasks and guiding inmates who load and unload freight to support the CI Laundry Operation. As a Corrections Equipment Operator, you will perform the following duties:
- Operate Vehicles: Operate tractor-trailers, trucks, and other motor vehicles to complete work
- Maintain Equipment: Perform routine vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and minor equipment repairs
- Oversee Inmate Workers: Train and monitor inmate workers in the proper methods for loading and unloading trailers, making minor equipment repairs, following safety tips, and completing bills of lading
- Prepare Reports: Complete and turn in maintenance related receipts, reports, and logs; prepare routine reports to help track inmate attendance, work, and pay
- Support Safety and Compliance: Secure work area, inventory all work tools and materials, search inmates and work areas for contraband

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in the operation of tractor-trailer trucks; or
- A combination of experience and training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
