This position oversees dental services within the institution and ensures that inmates receive proper examinations, treatment, and follow up care. The role supports daily operations by supervising dental staff, providing clinical services, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:
- Dental Examinations: Conduct oral exams, diagnose dental conditions, and determine appropriate treatment options
- Clinical Treatment: Provide routine dental procedures, treat injuries, and perform restorative work for inmate patients
- Staff Oversight: Supervise dental personnel and ensure safe, secure, and compliant operations in the dental office
- Specialist Coordination: Consult with and refer patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health professionals when needed
- Tool and Safety Control: Monitor tool use, maintain security practices, and follow established safety procedures
- Record Management: Document dental care, treatment plans, and patient progress according to policy requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. You will not be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
